I have some questions about the use of multiple channels in fmod 4 and how we will be able to use them.
When you initialize some sort of multi-channel mode, I assume the overall dsp’s will receive x channels instead of two, something like 16bits Left, 16 bits Right, 16 bits Rear Left, 16 bits Rear Right, and that your dsp effects can do any kind of cool software 3d processing with it.
But what will happen when you open streams and such that are stereo or mono when you attach a dsp to them.
Will the data be converted to a full-channel stream, or will there be other ways to tell which channels the stream will go to.

What I want to be able to do at the moment is open a stream once, and by some sort of dsp select wether it will go to the front, the rear or both outputs.
