all 3dmark03 sound test with Aureal sq2500 passed smoothly in win98 .
In windows xp, sound test can be selected, but it will report error message “FMOD error in Fsound_SetVolume: An invalid parameter was passed to this function” at the beginning of the test, than the application break.
any idea for this problem??? or did anyone finish the tests winth SQ2500 under winxp?

thank u very much brett.
I’ve download the dll file and replaced original fmod.dll, but the problem still exist, error report didn’t change either. i think SQ2500’s poor driver is incurable…….. 😕
[quote="brett":1v1mwo0o]thats a problem with 3dmark being too eager to check error codes, but the bigger problem is that your sq2500 driver is behaving badly and returning this error when it should work.
I have made a change in setvolume so that it doesnt give that error but it doesnt mean your driver is better. You can try replacing the dll with http://188.8.131.52/files/fmod.dll[/quote:1v1mwo0o]
when i changed SQ2500 driver back to 2559 for win2000, the error code was “FMOD error in Fsound_SetPaused: An invalid parameter was passed to this function” .
It’s very kind of u replying me that fast It seems the only opportunity is the upgrade version of 3Dmark03, since the sound card driver won’t upgrade any more…
thank u again^_^
