Am I right in thinking that FX cannot be applied to separate channels – it has to be on the overall output (FSOUND_SYSTEMCHANNEL)? I’m making an Mp3 mixer and I really need to be able to apply effects to one channel while not affecting the other two. Is there any hope from FMod 3.62 or DX9?

Cheers

Ok, well thanks anyway. Hopefully I’ll be able to get my head around it cos I find this particular part of the code confusing… cheers

Ok can FX be applied individually to two or more streams? I should have mentioned the streaming before…

Ok this is really p*ssing me off now! I can get the stream to play but not to have any effects applied to it… have a butchers at this people:

[code:1larpjzb]Form Load:
If FSOUND_Init(44100, 32, FSOUND_INIT_ACCURATEVULEVELS Or FSOUND_INIT_ENABLEOUTPUTFX) = 0 Then error

File Load:
Sample = FSOUND_Stream_OpenFile(CM3.filename, fsound_mpegaccurate Or FSOUND_NORMAL, 0)

FSOUND_DSP_SetActive FSOUND_DSP_GetFFTUnit, True

FSOUND_Stream_PlayEx Channel3, Sample, vbEmpty, True

File Play:
Call FSOUND_FX_Enable(Channel3, FSOUND_FX_ECHO)
Call FSOUND_FX_Enable(Channel3, FSOUND_FX_CHORUS)
Call FSOUND_SetPaused(Channel3, False)[/code:1larpjzb]

Any ideas anyone? Is it the vbempty part of the PlayEx because I don’t know what to put in there?

Thanks

I’d really appreciate any input from anyone I gotta hand in my final year project first draft next week and I’m doing it using this!

Cheers!

Nice one, but I tried that and then the stream refuses to play. I can see its ready to play but then the play button just loses interest and won’t play ball.

As this is using the HW2D flag could it be my hardware?

Cheers

Cheers I appreciate the help but it looks like i’m doomed to eternal failure. The FXs dont work and fsound_free returns a -1…! Pants.
