I have a sound blaster live card with quadraphonic speaker output hooked up, right now I have the FSOUND_StreamOpenFile bit to FSOUND_2D and of course only get sound out the front two speakers. When I enable FSOUND_HW3D without the FSOUND_2D bit set and hit play, nothing happens. I assume you have to call FSOUND_Update() once every loop which is fine, but when I add that line I get an undefined reference and gcc errors out. I’m using MingW32 and fmod 3.62… any suggestions.

Make sure you are linking with the correct FMOD lib.

I had a similar problem in Visual C, where I changed the .dll and .h, and
was getting unresolved externals – this was fixed by linking the the
newer .lib file

ahh, I read it as a compiler error, not a run time error …..

Yes I fixed the linking error, for some reason I had an old version of the lib in a wrong directory and it was being detected first… don’t know how really, but it caused conflicts… if I force MONO though then I can’t get Stereo in 3D sound? Or am I missing something here?

Haha ok, I get you now, stereo in 3D wouldn’t make sense. The only thing I was really trying to do was play sound through all 4 of my speakers (with the live card only the front speakers had sound), this was also through SPDIF Digital Output. However I recently upgraded to an Audigy2 board and the sound works on all 4 now. So my problem is solved thanks.
