If by “support” you mean: “can I use FMOD within my Java desktop application?”….the answer is yes….look at JNI. The JVM is always specific to the platform so if you want to do Windows thingies with Java, you can because the JVM speaks Windows. In this case you could use JNI to achieve native results. It requires some knowledge of the platform of course, and some C/C++ skills.

Let us know how things turn out. I imagine you could build a ton of code in Java, and easily port to different platforms by including the right OS specific version of FMOD. I would expect latency though. Expirement at first to make sure the Java/JNI effort is worth it. I suspect it would be easier to stick with C++ (since you’re an OO person).
