How do I set the minmaxdistance for a 3d user-defined stream (created using the FSOUND_HW3D flag)? I’m working on synthesised engine sounds for my vehicle simulation and the other sounds like wind noise and tire screech drown out the engine sounds. Those samples have a mindistance of 10 meters and I need to be able to set the stream’s mindistance to that same number. Is this possible? If not, why not? ๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks,

Pete

Perhaps you are you searching for FSOUND_Sample_SetMinMaxDistance() ?

Yep, but for streams. That function only works for samples.

Use FSOUND_Stream_GetSample() to get a pointer to the stream’s sample.

I don’t know how I managed to miss that in the docs… ๐Ÿ˜ณ Thanks a million!

Now I need to model the exhaust pipes using digital waveguides… wish me luck! ๐Ÿ˜‰
