Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has already got some delphi code using FMOD to load an mp3 file, apply some EQ and save it back, or to a new file?
What I require is to set some EQ for my MP3 files that I like to listen on my portable player, adjusted sound to suit my ears…

I don’t know if there is Delphi Code as you wish, but I think it’s not so difficult. Everything should be done with FMOD. Just see the docs on how to use DX effects and set FMOD output to non-realtime.

Thank you.
I just need to dig into the docs bit deeper and come up with some code to do it…
I will let the forum know once done… ๐Ÿ˜†

So My idea will never work? ๐Ÿ˜• I don’t mind if I have to listen to the song while it is appliying the FX and saving it to a new MP3 file…
I’m yet to find any software that does what I like. FMOD was my last hope ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

I think you can load the file as a stream and then set FMOD to non-realtime output and various DX EQ parameters (see the docs) and then play. You should also set up a DSP unit that will write the output to the disk. FMOD should decode the stream, apply the EQ and then feed your DSP with Equalized data as fast as possible.
I have never tried this procedure, guess that it works…

Why don’t you use some sampling software that incorporates VST, apply save, re-apply, so on and so forth etc etc etc

I thought DX effect were software ๐Ÿ˜•
So you should use your own code in the DSP to do what you request…
Or use a specific software…
