Hi,

I am newbie to FMOD and was wondering if it is theoritically possible to create an equalizer as found on many HiFis and such (an example of what I am after is the Graphical Equalizer panel of Windows Media Player 9) for Mp3s played on a PDA. It basically changes the levels of certain frequency ranges. Failing this, how about a simple “Bass Boost” type affair??

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Regards,

Hi,

I have serious problem to add an equalizer to my own project made with fmod (mp3 player) under VC++6. I’ve read the faq but nothing to do…

Please can you help me to do something?

[quote="brett":34u4cwml]a bassboost wouldnt be too hard, i think you just do a severe low pass filter, then add the filtered signal back into the original.[/quote:34u4cwml]
As a totally DSP ignorant (at least until now): How can I do that?
I neither found a function for pass filtering, nor for adding a signal (just FSOUND_DSP_MixBuffers, but I guess mixing with itself would just keep the sound unchanged…). Would I have to iterate through the input buffer and copy it with some modifications (how?) to the output buffer?

(And this time, it’s really for FModCE – else I just would have used the FSOUND_FX_SetParamEQ function…)
