i’d like to use synch point in my audio file, so i read doc and forum, and there 2 solution : Riff of Streal_AddSynch

1- I know that you’ve already said this before Brett, sorry, but, can you tell me soft that can save RIFF information in a wav file. i know soundforge do it great but I’m searching for a free soft (money money… ;_; )
i’m using off format, is there a way to save a wav file with ogg codec??? i found i specification of Wav format and it’s not in, but the is a “experimental codec”??? have somebody test to use ogg in wav format with Riff information?

2- can i add synch point on a stream loaded with a ogg file??? and how can i add data (like a string : “hello”) in the synch point.

yes, i tried but i’ve got problem with addSyncPoint

signed char synchcallback(FSOUND_STREAM *stream, void *buff, int len, int param)
printf("\nSYNCHPOINT : \"%s\"\n", buff);

return TRUE;

background2 = FSOUND_Stream_OpenFile("../../media/test_ogg.ogg", FSOUND_NORMAL, 0);
channel2 = FSOUND_Stream_PlayEx(FSOUND_FREE,background2,NULL,TRUE);

FSOUND_Stream_SetSynchCallback(background2, synchcallback, 0);

and when debugging (VC++6) i’ve got the following error message on the AddSynchPoint :
[code:2qvq46so]Unhandled exception in 3d.exe (MSVCRT.DLL) : 0xC0000005: Acces Violation.[/code:2qvq46so]

but i’ve tried with soundforge and it works.. juste have to find acm now ^^

thanks for info, i’m gonna look if cooledit have markers
