hi,

firstly, is it guaranteed by FMOD that during FSOUND_SampleOpen(…)
my callback for opening and closing is called exactly only once.

and secondly, is it safe to use the FSOUND_SAMPLE* from FSOUND_Stream_GetSample(…) (sp?) like a real, or original FSOUND_SAMPLE*. ?
f.e. setting the position not through FSOUND_Stream_SetTime(…)
but through its Sample with FSOUND_Stream_Setblah(…)
(dont remember the exact name)
will FMOD handle this transperently?

thx a lot!

If you mean FSOUND_Sample_Load then yes, your open and close callbacks get called only once. The sample returned by FSOUND_Stream_GetSample is a normal FMOD sample that represents the current chunk of the stream being played. It won’t act any differently than a normal sample just because it belongs to a stream – if you want to set the stream time, use FSOUND_Stream_SetTime.
