Okey dokey, playback is fantastic but am going to need to ask about recording to a file.
I realise that there are no FMOD examples of how to take the buffer it creates and then dump/encode it into a file, and FMOD doesn’t actually export.
If you are using Visual Basic I would presume that it would be near impossible to access the raw pcm in the buffer to even attempt to get VB to save it.
Nevertheless, I really need it so am gonna ask anyway, many people seem to think this is practical and rather simple to do into wav/mp3/adpcm etc…
How’s it done guys…? 😀

This can be done easily by using FSOUND_Sample_Lock and FSOUND_Sample_Unlock to get the data from FMOD as a pointer. Once you have the data you can write it out to a file, whether it be wav, or pcm, or whatever. If this is a VB question then you should have posted it in the vb section of the forum.
