Is there a way to record the “collective” sounds into a file and not base the recording on one sample?

Similar to how the spectrum works (records what you are hearing).

For example, if I had:

musicA is looping in the background
musicB is looping in the background
soundA plays when the user pushes up,
soundB plays when the user pushes down,

I want to record the collective sounds this would make over a time frame…..

I appreciate any advice!

Yeah this is what I did, more or less. For some reason though I am having difficulty trying to translate the PCM data into a playable wav file. Too bad I can’t write straight to an mp3 😉

After the file is dumped, I try to load the file to get a sample pointer

FSOUND_Sample_Load(FSOUND_FREE, (LPCTSTR)strDumpedFile, 0 /FSOUND_2D/, 0);

and it is always returning NULL….
