I have read the DSP tutorial but clearly there is something I am missing. I’m using the CE version of FMOD, but I think the question is a more general one.
What I would like to do is record a few secs of audio and either in pseudo realtime, or even once the recording has finished, get the spectrum data of the audio input. Based on the great sample code, I can record and playback and get the spectrum data of the audio output. How can I get it from the input, or how can I feed the DSP unit a buffer without having to play the sample?
I have tried recording and playing the sample with volume 0, but clearly that doesn’t work since the DSP unit is taking its data from the output.
Any pointers or sample code would be much appreciated.
