Hello ppl, first post but have used fmod a little bit before now. I’m just starting off on a virtual DJing type project and thought that this would be a very good library to use. But before I’ve even got onto more complicated issues I thought I’d try just starting a second song when a marker in the first song was reached. I’ve edited my two songs down as tight as I can and got a marker smack bang on a beat but when I play the second stream (from a callback function on the first songs marker) there’s a little bit of a lag so the two beats don’t match up. Not the best of situations when I haven’t even got into matching up the tempo’s yet.

Any ideas as to how to start a stream right on a beat? Is a callback going to be a bit slow or could I allocate more memory or something? (I’ve already added FSOUND_Stream_SetBufferSize(2000); to my code after seeing it on the FAQ as a suggestion for stuttering but it’s still not spot on)

Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks, I’ll give that a go and get back to you if it doesn’t solve the problem. You put that where you put other flags for setting the stream to be looping etc. yeah?

That seems to work nicely, thanks. Might get a bit wibbly if I start doing lots of stuff in callback functions but I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.
