In the mean time there is an MP3PRO (MPEG2 Layer 3) format on the market wich is much smaller than the MPEG1 Layer 3 format.
When will FMOD be compatible with this new MP3PRO Format?
I know the new format will function with the current version but I can’t use the better quality of the new format.

There was a listening test about a month a go which compares different codecs at 64kbps.
The results can be found here :

As you can see at the bottom, altough vorbis is doing very good, mp3pro is slightly better.

The small improvement at this bitrate probably isn’t worth the cost though.
