Hello,

a part of my programm is for hearing music from shoutcast. Is it possible to get a stream info with informations like this:

Network received: 13092809 bytes
Server: SHOUTcast Distributed Network Audio Server/SolarisSparc v1.9.2
Metadata received: 10236 bytes
Metadata interval: 8192 bytes
Stream name: D I G I T A L L Y – I M P O R T E D – European Trance, Techno, Hi-NRG… we can’t define it!
Current title: Aaron Simpson – Volume 6.1 – http://www.aaronsimpson.com

In Winamp(v2.x) you can the get this information with ALT+3.

Thanks,

Hi,

no one know that !? Ok here´s the solution. Simply use

FSOUND_Stream_Net_SetMetadataCallback

That´s it.

You can also use FSOUND_Stream_GetNumTagFields, FSOUND_Stream_GetTagField and FSOUND_Stream_FindTagField to get more info on network streams.

With the search function of the forum you can find interesting things, like this [url=http://www.fmod.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2271:u0oungmo]topic[/url:u0oungmo].

Yeah. I’ve checked that out.. But it doesn’t get the “Current Title” from the stream. Only the name of the shoutcast, bitrate etc. Everything exept the Title of the song playing.

Use FSOUND_Stream_Net_SetMetadataCallback. Check out the samples/netstream example to see how to use it. If you’re running your own SHOUTcast server then make sure metadata is enabled. If metadata is not enabled then you won’t receive metadata.
