Hello,

I’m new to the forum. I’m a musician, for a couple weeks I also love programming 😉

I have a proffesional audio card RME HDSP+Multiface. It has 18 inputs and 18 outputs, great ASIO/ASIO2 drivers (also MME).
Is it possible to play more than one wave/mp3 file at the same time – but each to different audio output – all in perfect sample accurate sync? I tried with BASS – no chance, I mean it supports multiple hardware channels but without synchronization. Latency between channels is about 30-50ms even if they started at the same time :( How about FMOD? I cannot load those waves into memory because they’re large audio files, so streaming is the only way.

Thank you. But how typical mutlitrack recorders do that? They’re playing a couple tracks – each to its individual output… ?

Btw. Is there any chance to select hardware output for ASIO driver?

I think fmod 3.x only supports the first two ASIO outputs, and I think I’ve read somewhere on this forum that fmod 4 will have the ability to use the other outputs as well.
What would also be interesting is if recording through asio will be supported.
