well I using the latest FMOD version,
I am not using any callback functions. What i am doing is whenever i open a stream i get its Handle and channel Handle then i enable a timer and
set the Max value of a my custom scroller to the max length of the stream and the timer checks for the current position of the stream , when the scroller reaches its end i close the stream. I have figured out that mainly memory error comes when i close the stream. before i close the stream i disable the timer !!

Are you doing a test in your timer for a valid STREAM handle ? Because, if you close your stream before shutting down your timer without this test, your error seems to be logical :)

note : vb timer suxx, use SetTimer/KillTimer Api
