I think ya know what I’m a-wonderin! You know, I would even be happy if you just supported compressed WAV files! Either DVI/IMA ADPCM or Microsoft ADPCM would be great. Of course, MP2/3 would rock.

BTW, I got FMODCE working just fine and it sounds great on my IPAQ 3670 and HP Jornada 568.

Well, i’m trying to get MP3s working and it’s not working. Sound volume is set correctly on the channel. I’m calling Stream_OpenFile, followed by Stream_PlayEx:

  • song1.snd_music is an MP3 in memory.

song1.smp_music = FSOUND_Stream_OpenFile( song1.snd_music, FSOUND_LOOP_NORMAL | FSOUND_LOADMEMORY, song1.length );

song1.channel = FSOUND_Stream_PlayEx( FSOUND_FREE, song1.smp_music, NULL, true );

FSOUND_SetVolume( song1.channel, Volume_Music );

Can you see anything wrong?

I can’t even get FMOD to play MP3s by opening the file, much less loading them into memory and playing them from there.

Here’s my function call. It returns NULL.

char *songname = “\song.mp3”;
FSOUND_STREAM *music = FSOUND_Stream_OpenFile( songname, FSOUND_LOOP_NORMAL, 0 );

The mp3 exists in the root directory and is recorded at 96kbps.

Do you have any idea how I can get MP3s to work? :smile:
