Why FMOD tells me that my driver does not support EAX? I have the newest drivers from creatrive(10/03/03) and using Windows 2000 SP4. My sound card is Sound Blaster Live! Player 5.1. Otherwise EAX is working fine when i enable it using the surround mixer app from creative.
Is this a problem with FMOD or something is wrong with the audio driver?
The reason i am asking this is because i have found an way to enable eax reverb in an VB app. But i dont know if it will work because of this problem. :(

Yes the problem can be FSOUND_GetDriverCaps, but i havent ever called it from vb. It will not work because it doesnt work in the 3d demo program found in samples directory. Even if i choose primary sound driver/directsound, i cannot change eax reverb. It only tells me that my driver supports hardware 3d sound, not eax.

Yes its the 3d app in smples/3d. But I have noticed another problems with sound too. For example when initializing FMOD for the first time after computer start it fails and error code is “error setting hardware cooperative level”. So I have reinstalled the driver and all works fine now! And the code to enable eax in vb is also working. I will finish it and upload it on psc if somebody want to do that too.
