Hi Brett,

I downloaded your 1995 Mod Player tutorial (including F(ire)Mod 1.05 from http://www.wotsit.org , and was having a go at creating a mod player from scratch in C#. I kinda got stuck when you wanted to DMA the buffer directly to the soundcard.
Could you by any chance explain how to use those SAMPLE_NUMBER, PERIOD_FREQUENCY, EFFECT_NUMBER, and EFFECT_PARAMETER in .Net (preferably C#)?
Unless of course the tutorial isn’t supported anymore after 8 1/2 years ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks =)

I read the fmoddoc2 a long years ago, it is for me THE bible of soundtracking. (from the coding aspect)
Btw, i don’t think you have to “play” with DMA as the player was for DOS and use the Dos coding style (protected/real mode, direct hw access, memory segments …). You ll have to do your own software mixer using winmm/dsound.
