When I use the FMOD media player with this DLL I get an error with WMVCore.dll, it looks like the new DLL needs the function WMCreateSyncReader which is a new function in WMP 9. I don’t have WMP 9 because my computer is running Win 98.

I think it should work when you have the Windows Media Format Redistributal. you can find it on [url:16shy8st]http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnwmt/html/rediswmedc.asp[/url:16shy8st] or [url:16shy8st]http://hem.bredband.net/cdburnerxp/wmfdist.exe[/url:16shy8st]

Nope, it looks like it only supports Windows 98 SE and above. Which is stupid becasue SE and 98 are practically the same OS, except in my oppinion SE was slower for some reason.

[quote="brett":1t5wxnpy]i dont even have wmp9 installed, so i dont think it is that. what is the exact error.[/quote:1t5wxnpy]

The exact error is:
[quote:1t5wxnpy]
The FMOD.DLL file is
linked to missing export WMVCORE.DLL:WMCreateSyncReader.

Ok, it works now. Well, I guess I should invest in an OS upgrade if I want to do DSP effects and spectrum analysis on WMA’s. Poor old Win 98.

That was a huge improvement in WMA playback. Less memory consumption and no stuttering when the host app is really busy.

Good work!
