Hi, sorry for spamming, but I wanted to let you all know that almost one and a half year after I put my bpm detection ocx online, I now have put my bpm detection dll online.
It’s shareware, so it will only work for about 5 minutes. You can try it out at http://users.esstec.be/adion/vb
It can be used in any language that can import a dll.
It also includes one vb example, but I have found that it only works when I compile to P-Code.
I think this is kind of strange, because I have successfuly created a stream generation callback in vb, but the dsp callback doesn’t seem to work.
Has anyone been able to use the data from a dsp callback? I’ve seen some here that only pass the pointers, but not actually extract the data from it by MemoryCopy’ing it to an array.
The function getShortIntFromArray that I used if you are interested in checking out the example is just a simple function that does:
It’s meant to avoid doing the MemoryCopy call in visual basic, but I haven’t gotten it to work better…

In my VB CD ripper example I use a DSP callback to MemCopy data to an array and then write it out to a WAV file. I also copy the data out to various encoders. It is possible to do this with the CopyMemory API.
