This is VC++ under W2K. I am getting an error “The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process” when I try to restart my application after a crash. If I look at the process list with Windows Task Manager, the application is still in the list, but I cannot kill it. It complains that it is still being debugged, even though it is not. Closing visual studio doesn’t help. Eventually it goes away, but it takes a long time.

Anyway, the cause of the crash is certainly of my own making, but the debug cycle is a pain waiting for whatever it is to time out. I know it is fmod related because if I comment out the fmod code, I can restart on crash with no problems.

Anyone seen this?
