It would be great if you could just tell a channel to reset its priority (either to 0 or to a predefined level) after it has finished playing its current sound. This would be helpful in situations where you play a lot of sounds with high priorities (using FSOUND_FREE for channel selection) without further handling those channels (a sort of “fire and forget” sound) and thus making it hard for lower-priority-sounds to get a channel to play on (as the channels’ priorities wouldn’t get reset/lowered).

Right now I just store those channel handles manually and periodically check if they are still playing. If not, I reset their priorities. Support for this in FMOD would simplify my code. 😉

I don’t know if this seems useful to add or if this is already possible… if so, sorry for the “interruption” :)

Ah, ok. I thought the channel would keep its priority even after the sound has finished playing/has been stopped. Thanks for the clarification! :)
