I’m writing a peice of software which will load STL vectors of sounds (FSOUNDs) and would like to be able to store the entire vector to a file and retreive it from that file later.
The main problem is, I want the STL vector to be able to contain ANY sound file type. Do I need to load the entire file into memory, use the load from memory function of FMOD, and then write the entire sound file into my datafile? Is there any way to force the loading functions to load the entire file, and then dump the whole object to a file?
What aproaches would you suggest?
