My pc app uses threading and I’m wondering if theres a way to stop time when I’ve lost the focus ?
After a bit of jiggling I’ve got my DirectX code going into a pause mode when it loses the screen and resetting nicely once it comes back again, but one problem remains:
I’ve got a .XM playing away in the background even when my game has effectively dissappeared via alt-tab. I could silence all the channels etc but really I need it to stop right where it is so that my music can resume from the point it stopped at.
Any way of doing this please ?

Yeah, I looked at that but its not the ideal solution.
Firstly, I’d need to remember what I’d started and what I hadn’t, and secondly it won’t work on any samples that I’ve started playing but haven’t finished yet, though this isn’t such a big concern.
Ideally, there’d be a FMOD_Suspend() and FMOD_Resume() that stops the mixer and other paraphernalia from doing anything at all ?
