Hi!

I’m using the FSOUND_Stream_xxx functions to digitally play a CD. However I have some problems. It seems that in this case the CD device is locked, so other programs (e.g. Feurio) can not access the CD device.
Even if I close the Stream the device remains locked. When I leave my program everything works fine again.

Is it possible that the …Close function does not free all resources?

Thanks!
Jürgen

Feurio probably tries to open the device for writing so it’ll fail if FMOD already has it open for reading. Other programs which open the device for reading shouldn’t have a problem running at the same time as FMOD i.e. I just ripped a CD with Easy CD Extractor while listening to the same CD at the same time with FMOD media player and it worked fine.

There’s a new dll here :

…that releases the CD device when you call FSOUND_Stream_Close as opposed to when you shutdown FMOD.

Cheers,
