hello,

i have a problem with a netstream , which does work on windows but not on linux.
i thougt first it is a problem with my own program, but then tried the netstream sample on linux. this is the output:

./netstream http://cal.icecast.net:8630/prog1.ogg

Open Sound System Driver list

1 – /dev/dsp

2 – /dev/dsp1

Press a corresponding number or ESC to quit
1
Press ESC to quit…

|============================== | 59% BUFFERING
ERROR: failed to open stream!
SERVER: HTTP/1.0 200 OK

the error message is funny, because in fact it is not an error message.
any help is appreciated, because this netstream is the reason , i added the functionality to my program ;-).
i am using fmod 3.71

regards,
gunnar

Try the PureBasic port of the netstream example on windows just to see if it is a bug related to FMOD or not.

There’s a new dll available here :

[url:8vxtf4nh]http://www.fmod.org/files/fmod.dll[/url:8vxtf4nh]

…that is more tolerant of mismatched SHOUTcast/Icecast headers.

Cheers,
