Hi,

i am trying to develop an mp3 player using vb.net for the pocketpc platform using the fmod api i downloaded from this site. i dunno if i am posting on the right forum. i am a bit confused as to which ocx to use since the api contains 4 files namely inc, wce, wce211 and wc4. i dunno which one is compatible with pocketpc when using vb.net. i tried the help tutorial but it seem out of date. i would be grateful if anyone could help me or redirect me to some sample codes i could fiddle with. thanks a lot.

You’d want to use fmodce.dll if memory serves (not an OCX). Basically you’d need to do p/invokes or create a wrapper component in eVC++. The difficulty is that there is very limited COM interop in the compact framework, so working with fmod directly from VB.NET or C# is not too easy. But if you dig around this forum, there’s some posts about creating the proper p/invoke declaration to the methods, which is probably the easiest way to go.
