I am a game developer evaluating FMod to see if I would prefer to use it over Miles. I’m having a lot of problems with the conversion, and the one that’s bugging me in particular is that I’m getting a lot of “Playing the sound failed” errors. I have a valid sample handle, but get this error anyway. I am loading the files into my own memory myself, but I don’t think this is the issue. Some sounds work, but most don’t. The following is what my play sound call looks like. What can be the problem? The error code isn’t informative enough.

FSOUND_PlaySoundEx( FSOUND_FREE, hSample, NULL, TRUE )

I don’t know what is hSample but it have to be a DSPunit

I don’t get this problem anymore, there were a few things I was doing wrong with the initializing. Wrong number of channels and I was setting up the memory callbacks wrong. Thanks.
