Is there a way to know when a Sample is done playing? Like streams, I would like to have a callback that would get called when a sound is done playing. Or at the very least I would like to poll the status of all current samples so I could determine this myself.

My reason for needing this is because I’m using FMod as my low-level audio system, but I would like to use my already existing higher-level code for keeping track of sounds and doing things with sounds when they are done… such as play the sound again 3 seconds after it is finished.

Is this something that can be done currently? Or does FMod assume you are using their high-level support all of the time.

IsPlaying will come back false if the sound is paused though. What happens internally when a sound finishes? Is the sample handle still good or is the fmod data for the sound hosed? If a sound is not hosed where is playback pointer? End of file? Back to beginning of file? What is the inner workings of fmod for a sound ending?
