Our application stacks several .WAV files and it needs to know when each audio is playing. We have been using the OpenNetCF to play the audio on a Pocket PC but this is unreliable and hangs when the Tom Tom API is used to read a GPS position while an audio is playing. So, we are considering FMOD and I need to know if FMOD will return end of audio reliably?

Anyone playing audio?

Thanks for your reply. We don’t join the audios together, we just play them in turn out of a FIFO stack. For example, in a city we often need to play several audios at the same spot and our app needs to know when each audio is playing, so that if the user responds to a particular audio, by touching the screen, we can pull approprite detail from the database. I think the callback or FSOUND_IsPlaying should work for us. Our application is written in VB.NET for Pocket PC 2003.
