I look at the FSOUND_NORMAL bits and they are
FSOUND_16bits | FSOUND_SIGNED | FSOUND_MONO

There is also an FSOUND_FORCEMONO.

If I use FSOUND_Sample_Load(…FSOUND_NORMAL…) on a stereo sample, does that force the sound to be mono? If so what is the FSOUND_FORCEMONO for?

If I use FSOUND_STEREO, will that put the mono sample in stereo?

If I should be matching the sample with the output (mono/stereo) how can I find out whether the sample is mono/stereo prior to loading the sample?

Any help would be appreciated.
