I’m trying to add fsbanklib to an existing application and when I run FSBank_Build I get a crash in FSBank_CompileItems(). I don’t have the source so I can’t tell what is wrong.

Here is my FSBank_Build line:

FSBank_Build( FSBANK_BUILDMODE_SINGLE, FSBANK_FORMAT_VAG, FSBANK_PLATFORM_PS2, FALSE,                               csFilename, numFilenames, (char**)filenames,                                        NULL, FALSE, NULL, FALSE, TRUE );

I verified that the filenames are the full path and that the files exist, so it’s not that. I also checked to make sure the output filename is correct and it is. Originally I had it wrong and got an error and I fixed that.

Any ideas?

I hard coded a list of files in one of my small banks exactly like you have in the example program and it worked perfectly. So I figured out that I was creating the array of char* wrong.

I spoke too soon. I’m still having a crash problem. When I thought it was working I was testing only on one bank. Now I’m processing all of the banks and one in particular it crashes.

Before I call FSBank_Build, the array of filenames is correct, but afterwards it has trashed the 10th string in a list of 29 strings. I tried a hardcoded list of 29 strings and it also fails. I’ve tried only processing this list of strings and nothing else…it still fails. I’ve also tried doing it first and last…still fails.

If I had a license, would I have the source code to trace into FSBank_CompileItems()? I’d just like to know so I can apply more pressure to my leads to pay for fmod :)

Or is it possible to provide a debug library for fsbanklib so I can try and track down what’s happening?

Thanks!
