I use the record exemple to make a voice recognition program. For this I use the FSOUND_GetCurrentLevels function.
What I want is to mute the playing sound, because it is not supposed to be heard, it is just a background treatment with FSOUND_GetCurrentLevels.
I want to mute this one, channel = FSOUND_PlaySound(FSOUND_FREE, samp1); but GetCurrentLevels has to work.

You can turn off the [url=http://www.fmod.org/docs/HTML/FSOUND_DSP_GetClipAndCopyUnit.html:wy9rmm4a]FSOUND_DSP_GetClipAndCopyUnit[/url:wy9rmm4a] with [url=http://www.fmod.org/docs/HTML/FSOUND_DSP_SetActive.html:wy9rmm4a]FSOUND_DSP_SetActive[/url:wy9rmm4a]. But maybe (i could be wrong)you can also use FSOUND_SetMute() or FSOUND_SetOutput(FSOUND_OUTPUT_NOSOUND). But i don’t know if GetCurrentLevels will work then

I don’t know if they all do what you want (i haven’t tested it) but surely one of them will work 😉

I don’t know how to use the DSP function, and I don’t use DSP in my project. GetCurrentLevels doesn’t work with FSOUND_SetMute() and we can’t record with FSOUND_SetOutput(FSOUND_OUTPUT_NOSOUND).

Hope the first works, but can you tell me a little bit more ?
