Hi!

Rephrased the question:

Is it possible to acess the uncompressed music data and write it to a file, for example?

I’m doing a university project “MP3 over Profibus”, which requires me to extract the uncompressed data of an MP3-file, and send it to a microcontroller over Profibus (an industrial field-bus-system).
I already have a fully operational MP3-Player coded in C++ for Win32.

Thanks for your help!

Two possibilities:

  1. Stream the MP3 and use a DSP callback to intercept the sound data on its way to the soundcard.

  2. Load the MP3 as a sample, lock the sample data and copy it out of the sample buffer.
