Hey guys. I just spent 3 hours trying to make this work, but I think it’s time to give up and ask for advice.

When I try to compile “fmod/samples/simplest/Main.cpp”, I get a whole bunch of errors along those lines:

C:WINDOWSTEMPccY9caaa.o(.text+0x744):main.cpp: undefined reference to FSOUND_GetVersion@0'
C:WINDOWSTEMPccY9caaa.o(.text+0x78d):main.cpp: undefined reference to
FSOUND_Init@12′
C:WINDOWSTEMPccY9caaa.o(.text+0x7a1):main.cpp: undefined reference to FSOUND_GetError@0'
C:WINDOWSTEMPccY9caaa.o(.text+0x7d9):main.cpp: undefined reference to
FMUSIC_LoadSong@4′
C:WINDOWSTEMPccY9caaa.o(.text+0x7f2):main.cpp: undefined reference to FSOUND_GetError@0'
C:WINDOWSTEMPccY9caaa.o(.text+0x828):main.cpp: undefined reference to
FMUSIC_PlaySong@4′
C:WINDOWSTEMPccY9caaa.o(.text+0x85a):main.cpp: undefined reference to FMUSIC_GetName@4'
C:WINDOWSTEMPccY9caaa.o(.text+0x875):main.cpp: undefined reference to
FSOUND_GetCPUUsage@0′
C:WINDOWSTEMPccY9caaa.o(.text+0x880):main.cpp: undefined reference to FSOUND_GetChannelsPlaying@0'
C:WINDOWSTEMPccY9caaa.o(.text+0x88f):main.cpp: undefined reference to
FMUSIC_GetRow@4′
C:WINDOWSTEMPccY9caaa.o(.text+0x8a1):main.cpp: undefined reference to FMUSIC_GetOrder@4'
C:WINDOWSTEMPccY9caaa.o(.text+0x8e2):main.cpp: undefined reference to
FMUSIC_FreeSong@4′
C:WINDOWSTEMPccY9caaa.o(.text+0x8ea):main.cpp: undefined reference to `FSOUND_Close@0′

I triple checked everything, and even made my own .cpp file. It still doesn’t compile.. It either says “fmod.h” doesn’t exist, or scrolls through a list of stuff I pasted above. What am I doing wrong?

I tried using both GCC under cygwin, and Dev-C++. Neither works.

Please advice either here, or through AIM. My AIM nickname is “nennonx”.

Thanks,
Nennon

Sorry.. I just needed sleep. Problem fixed, I wasn’t linking the library .a file correctly.
