im a bit confused about updating a sample position with FSOUND_3D_SetAttributes. It wants me to pass the channel, but im using FSOUND_FREE because actually i dont want to care about the channels. I know FSOUND_PlaySound returns the channels its picked. But how can i ensure my sample is still playing on that channel and the channel hasn’t been stolen yet?

Am i missing something or it is supposed to be like this? I seems more reasonably to me if i would set the position directly to the sample instead to a channel currently playing it.
