Well, this might seem a very smart question, but i’m trying to find a way to decompile an .fsb file i have. I have searched the whole internet and found out that FMOD programs handle this file, so i’ve downloaded both FMODex and designer, yet, i cannot decompile the file.
My aim is to decompile the .fsb file to the .wav files it is consisted of and then either remove some list numbers (so that some words of some sentences are removed, since as i’ve read this is easy by changing he headers in a C code) or to mute the file with SoundForge (which i am using).
This .fsb file is from a game (Heroes of the Pacific) and i would like to remove some insults the game has as speech (so that my little brother can play it). I’ve opened FMODex , checked “generate multiple fsb files” and ticked PCM(1:1), but the compilation stops at a point with an error (” a.wav file not found); then the original .fsb file is deleted.
Obviously, I don’t know how to use FMOD programs (im using SoundForge for sound editting), but any help of how to get the .wav files included in the .fsb file is welcome.
