I am currently using the FMOD sound API to play sounds in my game. When I don’t have a controller plugged in they play perfectly fine. The second I plug in a XBOX 360 controller, which I am basing my controls around, sounds stop playing and the volume control buttons stop working as well. I am using DirectInput to get the joystick information, and that works fine too. What I believe is happening is that the sound is being sent to the controller to be sent to headphones even though I don’t have any plugged into the controller. I have searched everywhere for a resolution to this problem with no luck. Any help I could receive would be much appreciated.
