I have some helper code that I use for monitoring the memory usage by stream-buffers but I’m starting to belive that it’s not really reporting what I am expecting. This is what happens: When FMOD initializes it reports 0 bytes as expected but when it starts the music-tracked played in the titlescreen it suddenly reports 1371796 bytes, this with a streambuffer size set to 32768 bytes. If it should be using multiple buffers to secure from dropouts this would mean approx. 41 buffers which seems a little over the top. Am I missing something here or is the number I’m getting from FMOD not correct for some reason? The number I get by the way is fetched from FMOD_EVENT_SYSTEMINFO where I parse all wavebanks and their respective FMOD_EVENT_WAVEBANKINFO.
