Hello all,

I really need help with an issue. I was working on Fmod and while saving Fmod crashed on me. I tried to relaunch my project but it keeps telling me an error message:

Error Reading project:<Unknown>

Can someone please help me get my project back, it is driving me crazy and I fear that I lost all the work I’ve done. I did make a back up copy of my .fdp project but it won’t open that either, I also re-installed Fmod Designer but no luck at all. I am using an 13" 2.2 Intel Macbook running snow leopard. PLEASE HELP ME 😥

I would appreciate a quick reply to email or forum.

Email: Tobiasbass@mac.com

Cheers,

Patrick

Could you please send your backup FDP that wont load to support@fmod.org.
Someone will be able to dig into it to find the reason it isn’t loading.

I got a similar error.
The only thing I did that I could imagine would screw it up was I dragged a few wav files into the multitrack event channel, they became sound defs, did some editing to those sound defs (via their properties), then decided to relocate those sound defs into a new folder within the sound defs view.
Then I made new tracks in that multitrack event i started, and begin to drag those sound def instances into their respective tracks. When doing that, it froze and then crashed, and now wont load the fdp anymore, I get error: Error reading project: ‘blahblahblah’: (the actual name is different)

I sent an email with the corresponding files.
