I have an external parameter that dynamically sets the lowpass frequency of my sounds.
I was hoping there is an easy method to do this in fmod, but the only related per Channel setting I see is setLowPassGain, nothing for cutoff frequency.

Am I reading this right — that fmod does not support dynamic cutoff frequencies per Channel?

Works great! It sounds a little off so I might tweak that formula until it sounds more like what I expected, even if what you posted is technically correct.

Lowpass gain taps into the cutoff calculation used for occlusion, if you aren’t using HRTF or geometry occlusion the cutoff frequency = 22050 * lowpassgain * lowpassgain. This setting works for FMOD_HARDWARE and FMOD_SOFTWARE sounds.

Alternatively you can use a lowpass DSP to achieve the same result for FMOD_SOFTWARE only sounds.
