[b:3m0bdtap]Detailed description:[/b:3m0bdtap]
Some versions of Windows (and other operating systems) allow the user to set speaker modes that the system’s sound card does not support.
Attempting to directsound buffers for speaker formats that the sound device does not support can fail with FMOD_ERR_OUTPUT_CREATEBUFFER.

[b:3m0bdtap]Solution 1:[/b:3m0bdtap]
1. Implement the following code as a workaround:
[code:3m0bdtap]result = system->init(...);
if (result == FMOD_ERR_OUTPUT_CREATEBUFFER)
{
system->setSpeakerMode(FMOD_SPEAKERMODE_STEREO);
result = system->init(...);
}[/code:3m0bdtap]At the time of writing, this is the only known workaround for this issue.
