I’ve been encountering this too.

The error from System::init() is:

[code:mtnpc1v1]
FMOD error! (51) A socket error occurred. This is a catch-all for socket-related errors not listed elsewhere.
[/code:mtnpc1v1]

A hard reset of the device cleans up the conflict. Shutting down the conflicting apps from the multitasking menu has no effect.

The socket error will be because both apps are trying to initialize the profiler on the same socket. You can fix this by only using FMOD_INIT_ENABLE_PROFILE on one of the applications or by instructing the app to use a different port for profiler via System::setAdvancedSettings, profilerport member.
