Looking into creating the oft-used effect where an explosion can slightly ‘deafen’ the player and cause ringing in the ears. Can anyone shed any light as to whether it’s possible to apply a low pass filter across the entire mix – or, preferably, a few selected categories – while allowing it to sweep back to ‘normal’? Or, failing that, is there an alternative/better way of achieving this?
