Hi Folks,

I’m having problems reading data from a cd-rom. It works fine in Linux, but I get an FMOD_ERR_CDDA_DRIVERS error on 64 bit windows 7. (FMOD initialization is successful).

One important note is that I’m doing this in java, using Jérôme Jouvie’s excellent NativeFmod libraries. I do notice that his project is using fmod version 4.06 and the current fmod version is 4.36.

Is there a known issue with reading cd in win7 that was addressed between 4.06 and 4.36? Or am I missing something really stupid?

For what it’s worth, here is a snippet where I’m getting the error. It happens when I try to create a stream.

[code:3b7zslih]org.jouvieje.fmodex.System system = new org.jouvieje.fmodex.System();

init(system);

Sound cdsound = new Sound();

FMOD_RESULT r = system.createStream("E:", FMOD_OPENONLY, null, cdsound);[/code:3b7zslih]

Thanks for any insight!

I created a new test using the most recent version, wrapping it with JNA. I get the same error when attempting to create a stream.

Anyone know if I should be able to read a cdrom via fmod in 64bit windows 7?

can you verify if you get this issue with the C version of FMOD, it may just be an issue with the wrapper.

Same issue here, when using fmodex64. same code with 32bit fmodex works.
Any workarounds for this?
