I’ve got a problem where some of my sounds start looping when they shouldn’t be. The sounds I have are short, one shot sound files (not fmod events) and every frame I ask if the sound is playing (by checking if the channel the sound is assigned when playSound is calledIf the channel is not playing then I assume the sound has finished, clean up my wrapper and move on.
HOWEVER, sometimes the channel is always says it is playing and this has the effect of the sound never being released and it loops infinitely. From some debugging I have done it seems that this only occurs on channels that go virtual, I never encounter this problem if I don’t go over 32 channels (my max software channels).
I’m running fmod version: 4.32.09. Has anyone had this problem before, knows what’s going on or has any suggestions to help debug it?
