Hi,

I would like to periodically generate events while I’m playing an audio file, for example every 20 milliseconds or every 500 samples. I have done it by adding syncpoints to the FMOD::Sound and assigning a callback function to the FMOD::Channel and it works, but I wonder if there is any other way to do it without syncpoints.

I think syncpoints are probably the best way. You can add them to the sound file itself or programatically using the API.
